OVERSEAS TRIPS

Wide ranging excursions are also a fixture of the school year. These include European study tours, French exchanges with our partner school near Geneva, safaris in South Africa and 6th form visits to New York and Barcelona.

GEOGRAPHY & MODERN LANGUAGES TRIP TO SWITZERLAND

In July 2005, the Lower School visited Switzerland, staying in Leysin, up in the mountains above Lake Leman. Excursions included Mont Blanc, Chamonix, the Bex Salt Mines and the very popular Nestle chocolate factory! This fascinating trip offered a perfect opportunity for pupils to see the features of upland glaciation and river valleys for themselves - an ideal grounding for work on the physical landscape in Geography this academic year. Everyone also made a real effort to practice their French and find out more about Swiss life and culture.

When my son got back he couldn’t stop telling us about all the fun he’d had. He’d learned a lot too!
